Michelle Hardy Autism Services

Michelle Hardy Autism Services, LLC provides therapeutic services, music therapy, and Spelling to Communicate, to individuals with autism and other neurodevelopmental differences. We focus on identifying unique strengths, fostering potential, and building the autonomy necessary to achieve our client’s goals, through in-person, telehealth, or group sessions based in San Diego, California.

What makes us different?

Our work is driven by the neuroscience of sensory and motor differences and is most effective when a collaborative partnership is formed between the therapist and the individual/family.
Our therapy aims to:

  • Construct competence

  • Provide sensory and motor accommodations to account for neurodevelopmental differences

  • Create learning opportunities that otherwise might not be available for your child or you.

We hope that we can support your family on your unique journey.

Core Values

Movement

Movement-based learning is at the core of what we do. We use movement and rhythm to assist an individual in getting to an optimal arousal for learning. We then use individualized music to drive motor responses, building control, regulation, and fluidity in movement.

Heart

We don’t do anything without heart! We are passionate and intentional about the work we do. Our compassion, humor, expertise, and out-of-the-box thinking make sessions fun and engaging, while also driving positive outcomes.

Autonomy

Our work aims to build the autonomy of the individuals and families we serve. Their goals, intentions, and interests must not only be considered, but also placed at the forefront of our collaboration and experiences.

Strengths

We recognize each individual’s competence and potential and within that, we emphasize their strengths. These strengths are a starting point for building relationships and confidence which then expand to novel experiences and opportunities for growth.
