Dr. Temple Grandin participated in a rhythmic drumming experience with Michelle Hardy to look at rhythm and autism and its potential impact on fluency and coordination of movement. Dr. Grandin says rhythmic drumming may be a helpful therapy for children with autism and developmental disorders. She says she has a difficult time clapping to a beat with others and this exercise allowed her to entrain to an external rhythm. Michelle completed her master's degree at CSU and Temple Grandin was a member of her committee.
